Overview: This two-day course, learn the
comprehensive skills and in-depth knowledge
needed to access, analyze, and share corporate
data using InfoView and BusinessObjects Web
Intelligence®.
Prerequisites:
Students must have Experience designing Web Intelligence
reports or attended Web Intelligence Report Design
course

Restricting data returned with a query, Enhancing the
presentation of data in reports, Formatting reports,
Data calculation with formulas and variables, Using
multiple data sources, Analysing data, Managing and

WebIntelligence Advanced Report Design
Overview: This one-day instructor-led classroom
course is designed to give you the comprehensive
skills needed to apply alternative query and
reporting techniques when creating complex Web
Intelligence documents.
Prerequisites: Students must have
taken the Introductory course and understand basic
report design concepts.
Topics Covered Include: Advanced
query techniques, Character and data string functions,
Calculation contexts, Using If logic, Additional
reporting techniques, Linking to documents

Universe Design
Overview:
This core three course is designed to give an
understanding of universe design concepts and
terminology, as well as the role of universes in
relation to BusinessObjects reporting tools. The course
provides an overview of the process for planning,
designing and creating a universe and then walks you
through the process of designing a universe that
responds to identified requirements.
Prerequisites:
Knowledge of BusinessObjects Web Intelligence™ XI
reporting skills and concepts, and/or BusinessObjects
Web Intelligence XI 3.0/3.1: Report Design
Topics Covered Include:
Understanding BusinessObjects Universes, Creating
Universes, Creating Dimension Objects, Creating Measure
Objects, Resolving Loops and SQL traps, Objects and
Hierarchies, Lists of Values, Derived Tables and

BusinessObjects Enterprise - Administration
and Security
Overview:
This core two day course is for system
architects/administrators who are new to BusinessObjects
Enterprise or Edge and who will be responsible for
maintaining BusinessObjects Enterprise users, groups,
and objects in their organisation.
Prerequisites:
None, although experience
with Microsoft Windows is useful.

BusinessObjects Enterprise - Administering

Overview:
This core three day course explains and demonstrates
what each server component in BusinessObjects Enterprise
does and how it is configured. Delegates will learn to
use the Central Management Console (CMC) and the Central
Configuration Manager (CCM) to manage and configure the
servers and will also practice troubleshooting system
problems when they arise.

Overview:
This core four day course teaches system administrators
the skills and knowledge required to design and deploy a
BusinessObjects Enterprise system. Students will learn
how to analyze and identify customer requirements in
order to design a BusinessObjects Enterprise solution
using the concepts of High Availability, Scalability,
Sizing, Disaster Recovery and Lifecycle Management.
Prerequisites:
To
